Ascending Haiku Stairs in 2010

Apart from music, my other main hobby is hiking. After I graduated college and moved back to Hawaii, I found myself having more free time to explore the 'aina that I grew up on. I still remember my first time summiting Haiku Stairs back in 2010, trembling legs and all! I haven't gone back since, but within the last couple years my drive to explore every panoramic ridgeline and picturesque waterfall has helped me forge new friendships, travel to breathtaking places, and preserve and restore endangered species!

I hiked close to 50 trails in 2017 and will no doubt break that record in 2018! Most of these hikes are on Oahu, but I was fortunate to hike in Molokai, New Jersey, San Francisco, Yosemite, and Iceland as well. Below is a selection of some of my favorite hiking photos from last year in chronological order. This is in no way an exhaustive list, but just some of my faves!
